Position Overview
The PPM Organizer must have a strong grasp of, grounding in, and commitment to Black liberation movement and offer strategic coordination of the organization’s Peace and Prosperity Youth Action Movement (PPM), Freedom Summer, Electoral Justice Project, and other inter-connected project work. Seeking a highly experienced, creative, committed, and collaborative individual to ensure that youth organizers are supported, empowered, and performing efficiently to ensure timely delivery of desirable program outcomes.
Responsibilities
Youth Support:

Promote youth leadership while building power amongst youth members & community
-
Build, refine and implement PPM curriculum
-
Perform day-to-day administrative tasks related to project, program, and meeting organization
-
Support the planning and execution of various youth-led initiatives, summits and/or presentations with stakeholders

Strategize for new member recruitment and levels of participation
Outreach & Engagement
-
Support collaborative cross-chapter organizing and alignment across PPM chapters
-
Build coalition with other youth organizations that align with OLG’s mission and values
-
Partner with local schools for PPM and youth organizing efforts
-
Network and build relationships with local policy/decision makers
-
Work with local environmental and park departments to advance environmental justice and park equity
Electoral Justice Coordination

Liaise with partners around all democracy, electoral justice related efforts

Initiate planning for democracy, integrated voting, and other electoral justice-related projects
-
Create processes and structures (templates) to support tasks; ensures documentation/record of ongoing work

Track progress towards milestones
