The Power of 9 Summer Edutainment Series Lift Off was held on Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at The Venue Live, 6:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m., 6810 S. Cedar St., Lansing. Youth between the ages of 12-17 are invited to participate in nine free events from June 23 – September 12. The nine events utilize entertainment as a platform for message delivery and advocacy to promote positive outcomes for our youth such as: peace, diversity, inclusion, healthy lifestyles, dropout prevention, preparation for higher education, and entrepreneurship. Each event will feature local organizations and service providers who specialize in the issue area and have resources for youth.
